Hello, I am a French player so apologize for my English.
I am particularly interested in this subject because I tested the archives of armory and I find that the system has some defects that affect its ergonomics.
Here the different points I've noticed (I specify that I am on a necro server):
First, in parallel with the survey, the fact that we can not filter the displayed shelves.
Currently the order of shelves is decreasing. For me, the archives are primarily there to help the management of the armory and in particular the resale of items obtained in quests. Thus, we will more often look for items in shelves 1 to sell. But this shelf is also the last one we see. Moreover, if we have items in shelf 10 (which is the first displayed) we also take the risk of removing them by mistake.
Filtering the shelves would avoid mistakes and simplify resale.
Then, always in parallel with this survey, the limitation to 50 items per page.
Even assuming that there is one day a limitation of storable items in the armory, we will end up with dozens of pages. In the idea, we could have a system closer to saved messages where they are displayed continuously without page change. I guess it may require a lot of server ressources so for me this point is not a priority.
In third, the absence of multi-criteria filter.
Simple example, the current system does not allow to search at the same time an epic demonic katana and a legendary perfect cape of the speed.
The point is that when we sell items we get in quests we do not always know what we're looking for. There may be interesting items but if we do not remember exactly these items, we risk reselling them by mistake. In the end, if we do not want to miss anything, we have to filter each element (for example for helmets, first filter adrenaline and then precognition) one by one to be sure to not miss anything. In the end, it's as long as looking at each item as we should do without the archive.
Ideally, we should have a kind of universal filter to filter all the qualities, supports, prefixes and suffixes that interest us. In order to keep only the items that could potentially interest us.
I think this universal filter may be complicated to set up. However, I think it is possible to slightly modify the current interface by replacing the drop-down lists with tick box drop-down lists. To complete, a system of cookies to memorize the items that have been checked for not having to re-enter them later.
Lastly, the archive does not replace an increase in armory capacity.
We can not equip an item from the archive.
I may advance a little on the future of the game but I prefer to anticipate.
Currently we have the epics. There are now some years we are also talking epics 2.0. Added to this are construction items, clan armory and so on. I also assume that moria players keep a lot of items for mergers.
I'm afraid to inevitably have a lack of space and even have to use the archive continuously.
Rather than making it an option that comes in addition to the extension armory why not make an option that would replace it? As the luxury quests and attacks are replacing the classic shortening.
I hope my opinion will help you to improve this system

a 20 dni premki poszlo
pozdrawiam
